I really love doing this ‘Weekly Challenge’ series, even though it’s pretty hard finding time to film. Most of the time, I have to pre-film my outfits, just like how I plan my outfits during the week.
Having a topic and keeping it consistent are fun. I can try some new way of styling, wear some old pieces and some unworn pieces, how to turn everything into my current style. There are many trends right now, in Vietnam we have the own way of dressing ourselves, too. However, I’m not so in love with the majority’s style (not dissing them), so I’m still going my own way.
Down here are all 5 outfits of ‘Denim Love’ week, I’m in love with denim / jeans for so long cannot remember. Even though denim is not comfy, trust me, real denim is never a comfy piece, people call it workwear all the time, but to me it’s worth standing in my closet, as many as possible (haha).
I really love this denim colored shirt, it can go with all the bottoms I can think of, a pair of skinny jeans, shorts, skirt, or worn as a light jacket. And yes, it looks so good with a maxi tie-dye skirt, giving me such a feminine vibe. Tone everything down with a white pair of slip on shoes and a silver men’s watch. I can’t be 100% feminine, that’s a fact.

An extreme oversized men’s jacket which I bought a few years back, love the acid wash on it so much but haven’t wear it that much. Because you know, it’s heavy, and it’s not suitable for Saigon’s weather. I’m thinking of dragging it with me on some trip during fall/winter to a colder country.

I call this set ‘a casual streetwear outfit with a tiny delicate detail’. I always love people who can wear their outfits perfectly with socks, I’m on my way mastering that skill. Just feel so happy whenever I see a cool pair of socks pairing with oxford shoes or sneakers, that people must really cares about details, not just throwing everything together.

A boxy tee with a wide legged jeans, I wasn’t so sure this style can fit me because I’m petite size. Yes, and I cheated a little bit with my wedged sneakers. But still I gained enough confidence to wear like this to work, and will keep styling this way.

Favorite dungaree and tee set, I think I’ll never too old to wear this, because it’s so fun seeing myself look like a mechanic or… a minion.
